a new day begins.

It has certainly been a bit of a strange feeling to wake up today, just as the world finally somersaults the last few inches into a new era of peace, prosperity and happiness. War. Famine. Slavery. The global financial crisis. These things no longer concern us. Because finally, the celebrities have come to save us all.

MySpace Celebrity and Katalyst present The Presidential Pledge

Listen, if you are a celebrity and are thinking about enlightening the world on how to be a good and decent person and are considering starring in one of these videos, I have some advice for you: if you want to go ahead and be a responsible citizen by being fiscally responsible, or environmentally conscious, or even politically active, then just do it, good for you. But please, please stop this sanctimonious preaching, it does nothing but expose you as the the shameless, self-aggrandizing egomaniac that you are. Thank you.

they should have added, "i pledge to not waste $52,000 on an ugly ass handbag that i don't need and use that money to help feed a hungry child." (Beyonce did this. here's my blog about it http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=54027129&blogID=303454409 )

this crap makes me never want to buy another album or movie ticket again... ('cept for TMD. gotta feed the addiction.)
